SENSATIONAL GENIUS
Philip Shepherd
As we practice we create contexts for shifts in perception, and hone our capacity to attune to the sensory world beneath the surface of our skin. But beyond attuning to increasingly minute sensations in our own process of self-awareness, this sensory re-animation is essential in order to perceive the continuum between ourselves and the wider ecology to which we belong in a felt way. This visceral knowing is a sensitivity that we are born with that we lose for so many reasons. Join me for a practice exploring what is means to ‘stand in the dance of opposites’, what does that mean? What does that feel like? And how can we use movement, breathe, awareness, and sacred sound as gateways on this journey of re-discovery?
