Phase 3: Emerge
THIS IS A 100 HOUR TRAINING THAT TAKES PLACE on a 7 day immersion in portugal followed by a 3 month online integration container
An immersion into practices of sound and silence. Dive into the devotional practices of Bhakti Yoga through mantra and kirtan, build context though study of the Bhagavad Gita and stories of the deities, hone your skills in facilitating stillness practices: restorative, meditation, breath, and awareness and how we can explore meaningful ways to bring our practices into the world.
Over our time together we will consolidate ideas from previous trainings and dive into:
Bhakti Yoga
A deep dive into the yoga of devotion to learn to bring sacred sound, mantra, and kirtan into your facilitation
Embodied embryology
Working in the water to embody and integrate embryology and movement patterns through a different lens, with guest facilitators, Marjorie Sa and Rita Desterro
Awareness practices
Facilitating awareness practices, somatic meditation & breath
Stillness & restorative
Honing our craft in holding space for stillness: restorative practices, effective touch, body reading
Storytelling
The art of compelling story telling: honing our understanding and crafting our communication of the stories and philosophies that give context for these practices
Embodied Philosophy
A deep dive into Bhakti texts: stories, practices, and bridging our practice into our lives. Exploring bhakti and devotional practice through the lens of non duality.
Authentic Expression
From “good” voice to authentic voice - going underneath the layers and patterns to reveal your own true voice as a teacher

Annie is a unconventional creative writing teacher. Her business, Write For Your Life was born from her belief that everyone can write if given the space to do it. She doesn't care about grammar or rules, but about honesty and bravery as the key to finding your voice and writing 'well'.
She has a gift of creating contexts for people to find what is true for them, to build a business following what feels good and fun and without the ick. And I love this phrase of hers:

3 x workshops with Annie for you to:
Find your voice
Writing without hope or agenda. Writing to explore, writing to find what you want to say, writing even if you think you're not a writer.
Refine your voice
What is your message? What are your values? What makes you you? Finding clarity and a way of communicating that feels direct, simple and you.
Get your voice into the world
What's stopping you? Unpicking the hurdles and blocks that make us freeze and silent instead of free to express ourselves. Figuring out a way of sharing that is authentic to you.
Course Dates
June 12 - 20th 2027 immersion in sintra, portugal
July - September bi-monthly online meetings on Mondays 10-12
Course Structure
Week long immersion in sintra Portugal:
Saturday June 12th: Welcome kirtan 6-8pm
Sunday 13th - Friday 18th: training in Sintra, 9-5pm daily
Saturday 19th: Closing ceremony 9 - 2pm
followed by
2x 2 hour sessions monthly for 3 months (1st and 3rd mondays of the month, 12-2)
2 x 1:1 personal mentoring with Paula
We will learn through:
a 7 day in person gathering: stories, textual study, extended practices, workshops, facilitaion playgrounds, group knowlege sharing, immersing into the group container in a beautiful sea side town in portugal and through special ACTIVITIES to create a completely unique and magical training expereince.
3 month online integration container: the business of business with annie rice and taking our practice into the world in meaningful ways.

Logistics
Nearest airport is Lisbon (30 mins)
Arrival day Saturday 12th: opening session is at 6pm
We will finish Saturday 19th at 2pm
Accommodation: We recommend looking for accommodation as close as possible to the study space
Address of the space: Caminho Azenhas 5, Sintra. Nearby hostel includes Moon Hill Sintra, plus a large variety of air bnbs near by. Early booking recommended! Once you register, you will be added to the whatapp to meet other participants and can if you like can organise to stay with the group.
