Phase 2: Grow roots

This is a 150 hour training that takes place online and in person over 6 months

This is a journey through the densities of our human architecture. Through embodied anatomy, embryology and in depth philosophical study we will begin to peel back the layers to reveal the magic of how our bodies hold the philosophy, and how our inner world reflects the outer. In each session there will be opportunities to learn in different ways, from lectures to practice and group discussion, always returning to your own direct experience and your facilitation practice as part of the learning process.

throughout the 6 month training we will weave and consolidate topics from the previous training, and in addition dive into:

Contemporary Anatomy

From parts to wholeness, from bio-mechanical maps to bio-motional maps. Explore our human architecture in motion to completely shift your understanding of anatomy through integral anatomical perspectives.

Embodied Embryology

Exploring how our original design meets function in our adult moving bodies and WHY this changes everything about our understanding of movement.

Felt sense philosophy

A detailed exploration of key non-dual tantric texts woven through contemporary literature and the felt sense for integrated understanding.

Human architecture in motion

How has our understanding of human anatomy evolved over time and where are we now? Understanding bio-motional movement dynamics and updating our understanding of movement principles to reflect an integrated anatomical perspective. Exploring the shift from ‘alignment’ to integration, and from posture to process.

Somatic sequencing

Broadening our movement vocabulary, creating contexts where organic and original movement reveals itself, organising ideas into creative, intelligent sequences. Building curriculums: how to develop an ongoing educational experience for your students, threading overarching themes, and building ideas to weave an ongoing learning process so that you and your students to grow together.

The psychology of teaching

Developing a more nuanced understanding of the challenges that come up in teaching and how we can use our teaching experience as part of our own ongoing awareness practice.

Trauma awareness

Cultivating a trauma friendly and inclusive facilitation practice through a deep understanding of the nervous system, and building skills to work with unique human bodies with clarity and confidence.

Guest Facilitators

Aki Omori

Aki will create contexts for us to explore how life moves through her incredible ability to bring complex topics into a felt sense understanding.

She will be guiding us in our exploration of embryology and how our earliest unfolding speaks to our adult movement and perception.

She will also lead explorations of our relational human architecture, and support us to hone our capacity to facilitate with a trauma friendly approach with skill and sensitivity.

Aki Omori is an experienced integrative somatic trauma therapist and educator with a background spanning music, physical theatre, yoga, and somatic movement. Based in the UK since 1987, she is a certified practitioner and teacher of Body-Mind Centering®️, a Somatic Experiencing®️ practitioner, and a certified NARM®️ and Neuro-Affective Touch therapist. Her training includes a 3-year diploma in Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy (IBMT), extensive studies in BMC®️, and is an ISMETA registered somatic movement educator & therapist. Drawing on her own personal history, Aki integrates touch, movement, art, and trauma-specific modalities to support deep nervous system regulation and the health of a whole person.

We are constantly affected by our ever changing environments, both external and internal and we are constantly responding to them - both in our psyche and the body. I am forever curious and excited about how we can continue to learn how to respond and act in an increasingly authentic way, and embrace who we are a little bit more at a time. And each time, we become freer & braver - all the way through our life time.
— Aki Omori

Helen Eadie

Helen will help us to explore what interoception is and why it matters, and through the lens of contemporary anatomy and neuroscience explore how our felt sense shapes our reality.

We’ll also consider the importance of context and top-down processing in transmuting sensations into meaning.

Helen will also support our understanding of the nervous system and trauma through an exploration of polyvagal theory, and with her extensive background in fascia-informed movement, guide us in embodied explorations of the continuity architecture of our human bodies in motion and stillness.

Helen is a somatic practitioner, traditionally trained in craniosacral therapy and Scaravelli-inspired yoga. She holds a master's degree in psychology and will be starting her PhD researching perceptual interventions to address body image disturbance and eating disorders at the University of Sussex, UK in September 2025.

For the past two decades Helen has immersed herself in mind-body practices and since 2018 studied fascia under the mentorship of Dr Joanne Avison. She edited the 2nd edition of 'Yoga, Fascia, Anatomy and Movement', is a contributing author of 'Myofascial Magic in Action', and has produced several fascia-informed CPD courses for movement and bodywork practitioners.

The relationship between body consciousness and mind drives Helen's practice, curiosity, thirst for knowledge, and desire to help others. Alongside her private practice, she currently works as an assistant psychologist in the NHS using interoceptive awareness interventions in the context of trauma recovery and functional neurological disorders.

I’ve found the courage to teach from honest and direct experience - without the need for validation outside of my own knowing. It is the sincerest way I have ever experienced teaching and it’s transformed not just my practice but the way I interact with the world.
— Debi Simpson

I’ve learned to listen in for my inner teacher, and gradually build trust with her, so I can cultivate my own artistry without comparison. I’m less invested in perfection and more interested in feeling and authenticity. I can ground myself during a class and sit in more silence. I can divert from my plan and read the room more. I can practice teaching as a practice of awareness itself.
