Radical Wholeness - Chapter 1 & 2
READING LIST
Essentials
Radical Wholeness - Philip Sheperd
The Recognition Sutras - Hareesh Wallis
The Living Gita - Swami Satchidananda
On Connection: Kae Tempest
Additional Recommendations
Basic Neurocellular Patterns: Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen
Tantra Illuminated: Chris Wallis
Notes on Complexity: Neil Theise
Mysofascial MAgic: Joanne Avison
Over the coming months, I recommend you dive into these books (essential reading) in whichever way inspires you. I would begin with reading Radical Wholeness, then On Connection, and to dip in and out of The Recognition Sutras and The living Gita in smaller, digestible amounts (reading these fully is more of a long term project!). I have specifically paired each ancient text with a modern text to support your understanding of the material. On Connection supports The Living Gita, and Radical Wholeness supports The Recognition Sutras. In my experience this specially curated combination will unfold the philosophy of the tradition with beautiful depth and simplicity. The ancient texts are not necessarily ‘easy reads’, so go slowly and don’t worry about figuring it all out. Just allow the text to wash through you and if get stuck go back to one of the modern texts or take a break!
MENTOR MEETINGS
Monthly mentor meetings are part of this programme as a way for you to integrate some of the material we are studying to share perspectives, discuss ideas, practice facilitating, explore challenges and build your peer community. You will gather with your mentor and another peer for 1 hour a month, at a time that suits.
ATTENDANCE
Live attendance is required for this course. The premise of our study is of shared enquiry and group participation. Online contexts offer some flexibility, if you need to miss a session you can catch up, however people usually get more out of live participation. 70% live participation is required for certification.
We will hold online sessions in much the same way that we would hod in person sessions, we carefully build a space for us to study, practice, and learn together. Please be mindful of this space. We ask that you arrive on time, and if you are joining live that you stay for the duration of the session. Just as in an in person context, coming in late or dropping in/out half way through a session is disruptive to the group. We also ask that you keep your camera on during sessions unless we are on break time, or in specific circumstances.
Upon completion of the programme you will have 3 months of extra access to the recordings of the training sessions.
