Get out of your head and into your body: with so much of our world moving online and a natural tendency to get βpulled upβ into our thinking, this is a practice to encourage awareness to filter through the whole of our body mind. Start on the floor and sneak into a more dynamic movement exploration whilst cultivating moment to moment awareness.
Rise & Shine: a practice to roll out of bed and onto your mat and wake up into your day. Side bends, spine mobilisation flows, hip openers, yummy twists and some backbends to finish, whilst exploring the relationship between ribs, spine and breath.
Grounded & Spacious: a slow flow practice that starts quietly and unravels into a flowing sequence with a focus on strength and steadiness in the legs and freedom and space in the spine.
Back body Strength: a strong practice to strengthen the back body and legs, moving dynamically towards a balancing half moon sequence.
Sidebody Flow: a varied exploration of the side body and how awareness through our sides and the lateral width can affect our sense of centre.
Sense of Self: a fluid flow to investigate how movement can change our moment to moment felt sense of self. This is a great one for βcleaning the slateβ if you are feeling agitated or fatigue/ stagnation, offering the body pathways to release, move, recalibrate, and shift.
Space to Breathe: giving ourselves time and space to find width, breadth and space and freedom in the ribs. Start slowly, soothing the nervous system and sneak into a flowing practice with a focus on twists, side body space and optional arm balance explorations.
Strong & Spacious: a practice exploring strength, clarity and steadiness in the legs integrated with space and freedom in the spine, ribs, and lungs.
Space and Flow: focus on articulating through the joint spaces focusing on space and clarity of motion, move into a strong, slow, spirally flow and close with some seated forward folds and a yummy neck release.
Embodying Continuity: Understanding the body as a βtensegrity architectureβ, where the design of the tiny (cell) is expressed at the level of the large (whole body). Start slowly and build into a challenging practice with variations in quality, speed, texture of movement and balance.
Continuity & Flow: exploring the continuous nature of the fascia as we move through balances, twists, hip explorations and yummy floor based sequences to begin and end.
Nap Time: a short yoga nap in simple restorative postures that only require a pillow or two as props. Can be really helpful to either release and honour fatigue and exhaustion or settle agitation & anxious energy.
Yield: a mini workshop exploring one of the fundamental movement principles that you can apply to any type of movement. Starts with a 5 minute explanation of 'yield' and then moves into a simple practice to experience it for yourself. Such a game changer for finding more ease and support in motion and stillness.
Shoulder Explore: an exploration of the shoulder blades, how they move and feel. Builds into a strong sequence that moves through different ways to get to know the shoulder and plays with forearm stand towards the end with a yummy neck release to finish.
When you need to move straight away: a fluid sequence with less instruction/talking and more doing! And options to play upside down.
Neck release & Fluid flow: release the neck and move into a brief fluid flow to invigorate and come home to ourselves in a short amount of time.
Cellular Breathing: an exploration of internal and external respiration. Sink beneath the surface and be soothed from the inside out. Can be done seated or lying down.
Heart Flow: A flowing practice to locate, embody, move from and reintegrate the heart. Move through lunges, warrior poses, play with half moon balances and crow and finish with a few seated postures before you rest.
Sri Ram Jai Ram: chanting the names Sita and Ram.
Sita and ram, queen and king of the universe, masculine and feminine; the integration of both within us. Deeply in love, and many stories of losing each other and finding each other, just as we forget and then remember ourselves. Kali Mataji: A chant to kali, the dark goddess, mother, warrior power, and ruler of time: past, present and future who brings us into presence and NOW. Our ability to dig our way out of confusion and misunderstanding into truth.
