Into the Center: A micro meditation supporting us to find a sense of the continuity between the world beneath the skin and the world beyond it as we explore the two ways in which “center” is interpreted philosophically in The Recognition Sutras.
Vibe Check: This is a practice from The Recognition Sutras that explores receiving a bit of the ‘vibe’ we are currently emitting out into the world. It’s super interesting! And helpful for noticing, processing and digesting how we currently are feeling as a gateway into awareness.
Objects & Awareness: A meditation to explore object predominant attention and awareness predominant attention. The practice is about building capacity for both, and being able to move in between with a little more familiarity and ease.
Meet yourself as your are: A meditation to meet yourself as you are, and become interested in the sensation of how you are doing - going underneath the language we might use to describe how we are to meet ourselves in the truth of the moment, welcome ourselves into presence from that place of honesty, and explore gradually shifting attention to awareness itself.
Gravity Flow: Gravity, like water to fish is easy to miss until we challenge our habitual relationship to it. This practice explores gravity, our vestibular system, proprioception & balance. We work with stabilising and destabilising incrementally as an exploration of the question: where am I? We play with weight shift as a language, head support in free movement, and gently challenge our balance along the way as we build familiarity with gravity as a foundational ground of shared belonging.
Circumference and center: In this practice we explore the relationship between the sternum, the ribs, and the thoracic spine. Woven with fluid movement exploration to embody the ribs and find clarity in their articulation, we move from the ground, through circular standing movement, into a flow that integrates asymmetrical balancing postures, twists and lunges before closing with a restorative posture to offer space through the thoracic region to close.
Front, back and middle body - differentiate and integrate: In this practice we establish clarity around the front, back and middle body and how they integrate to give us a full sense of multi-dimensionality, depth and volume. It’s a calm, simple practice that starts gently and becomes progressively a little stronger with options to add spice where desired. We play with twists, balance, and backbends. A calm way to build precision, fluidity, awareness and strength.
Backbend flow: In this practice we explore cultivating a spacious and yet supported backbending practice. Drawing on specific pathways that integrate upper and lower body, and front and back body, we play with finding balance, elasticity and fluidity in motion.
Into Embodiment: This is a meditation that explores the movement of formless into form via attention moving in a particular way in relationship to the breath and the base of the heart. A short, sweet micro practice.
