Build strength with Babe: A practice for days when you feel you have energy and want to build some strength. This practice could be done with babe next to you, and for some portions baby could be in arms. We release through shoulders and wrists, move through springy lunges, squats, warrior two and twists before returning to the ground for a rest and an awareness practice to fill your cup weather you are in savasana, feeding or tending to babyβs needs.
While baby naps: A well rounded post natal practice that starts to bring in some gentle strength work in a variety of contexts to cultivate steadiness from the inside out. Moves through a whole body feel good flow with a lovely rest at the end to nourish and restore. Enjoy mama.
Yoga with Babe: A postnatal practice with a focus on regaining a sense of containment through the ribs as we move from the expansion of pregnancy and birth back towards centre. We start standing with movement that can be done with babe in arms, and progress into movements to support strengthening the back body, side bends, shoulder releases, dog pose and a rest at the end.
Wanna practice but just so tired: A slow floor based practice to support you when you are tired. Starts with a chest opener on blocks to invigorate and massage the upper back, moves into some breath awareness to rest and open the lungs, and closes with a twist and childs pose. Short, sweet, potent. Could be lovely to unwind before bed or to release after a long day at the computer or feeding a baby etc. A class for all and appropriate post natal practice. Props: 2 blocks
Into post partum: A practice to honour your transition into post partum. This class can be done with your baby, and includes chanting, gentle movement, and awareness practices to facilitate presence even when attention may be oriented outwardly towards babe. You can do this class 6-8 weeks post partum or once you have had the go ahead from your midwife or doctor. Enjoy :)
Cosy & Quiet pregnancy practice: A very gentle and restful practice for days when you want to rest a lot and move a little. Stays close to the ground and I recommend gathering cosy things - blankets, rugs, bolsters, warm clothes etc to make this moment of your day massively nurturing and cosy.
Pregnancy practice - call in your power: A practice to call in your power. We begin with a brief meditation and chanting before moving into a movement practice that takes us through a variety of explorations from the ground to standing postures, with a focus on finding space through the lower back, side body and hips. Closes with a deep relaxation, mantra and cultivating intention.
Pregnancy practice to settle and ground: A slow and steady practice that supports settling, grounding and moving in a steady way through a whole body sequence to find release and space. This practice can be especially helpful if you are currently experiencing anxiety or agitation. Move from the ground into a hands and knees sequence and come up to standing for some side body release work before returning to the ground to close with relaxation and sound.
Bond with Babe: A practice to bond with your babe as you move, breathe and rest together. We start slowly meditative movement and sound, and unfurl into a gentle flow that stays close to the ground but brings movement through the whole body. Finishes with a long relaxation and chanting practice. A lovely way to bond with your baby as you practice.
Attune & Connect: a short & sweet pregnancy practice to attune and connect to yourself, to presence and to babe. We start with a little bit of sound and open into a varied practice that moves around the whole body with lots of options to explore, stretch and release before closing with a meditation.
Heart Flow: A well rounded pregnancy practice for any stage of pregnancy with a focus on the heart, circulation and pulsation. Settle in with some stillness to land and connect with baby, and slowly unfurl info a flowing practice that will release through the shoulders, upper back, hips and legs and ends with a yummy guided relaxation.
Baby Flow: A short and short and sweet yummy flow you can do with your baby, playing with the simultaneous movement of awareness inwards enough to nourish you, and outwards just enough to tend to babe. We wiggle through the whole body and bring baby in for some moments of play, too.
