Into Embodiment: This is a meditation that explores the movement of formless into form via attention moving in a particular way in relationship to the breath and the base of the heart. A short, sweet micro practice.
Into the Center: A micro meditation supporting us to find a sense of the continuity between the world beneath the skin and the world beyond it as we explore the two ways in which “center” is interpreted philosophically in The Recognition Sutras.
Vibe Check: This is a practice from The Recognition Sutras that explores receiving a bit of the ‘vibe’ we are currently emitting out into the world. It’s super interesting! And helpful for noticing, processing and digesting how we currently are feeling as a gateway into awareness.
Objects & Awareness: A meditation to explore object predominant attention and awareness predominant attention. The practice is about building capacity for both, and being able to move in between with a little more familiarity and ease.
Meet yourself as your are: A meditation to meet yourself as you are, and become interested in the sensation of how you are doing - going underneath the language we might use to describe how we are to meet ourselves in the truth of the moment, welcome ourselves into presence from that place of honesty, and explore gradually shifting attention to awareness itself.
Invisible spaces: A well rounded full body flow with attention to the circular, and attunement to invisible spaces. We begin with a somatic meditation, gradually move into a seated flow and then build into a stronger practice that builds strength in the legs, fluidity in the spine, and closes with a rest and my current favourite chant melody :)
Gravity Flow: Gravity, like water to fish is easy to miss until we challenge our habitual relationship to it. This practice explores gravity, our vestibular system, proprioception & balance. We work with stabilising and destabilising incrementally as an exploration of the question: where am I? We play with weight shift as a language, head support in free movement, and gently challenge our balance along the way as we build familiarity with gravity as a foundational ground of shared belonging.
Circumference and center: In this practice we explore the relationship between the sternum, the ribs, and the thoracic spine. Woven with fluid movement exploration to embody the ribs and find clarity in their articulation, we move from the ground, through circular standing movement, into a flow that integrates asymmetrical balancing postures, twists and lunges before closing with a restorative posture to offer space through the thoracic region to close.
Front, back and middle body - differentiate and integrate: In this practice we establish clarity around the front, back and middle body and how they integrate to give us a full sense of multi-dimensionality, depth and volume. It’s a calm, simple practice that starts gently and becomes progressively a little stronger with options to add spice where desired. We play with twists, balance, and backbends. A calm way to build precision, fluidity, awareness and strength.
Backbend flow: In this practice we explore cultivating a spacious and yet supported backbending practice. Drawing on specific pathways that integrate upper and lower body, and front and back body, we play with finding balance, elasticity and fluidity in motion.
Gentle Hip Specificity Flow: This is a practice that stays close to the ground and explores specificity of movement through the hips, whilst exploring the relationship of the limbs to the centre of the body. Through multidimensional hip movement, gentle strength building and rest and release we tend to our sense of centre, and cultivate grounded spaciousness. Props: You will need a bolster or blocks and a strap for this practice, but can improvise if you don’t have them.
Fluid & Strong: A 36 minute practice that includes a variety of movement languages. From melty floor flows and arm swings to strong balancing postures and options to play with press handstand (which you can also easily ignore!). This one gets the blood moving in a strong, steady and yet fluid way :)
Fluid densities: Attuning to the fluid densities of the body, with a particular focus on the way cerebrospinal fluid can offer a sense of an axis that is buoyant, nourishing and luminous. Starts slowly and builds into a flowing movement exploration that weaves softness into strength with a nourishing floor based flow, twists, and strength building balance explorations to shake things up. Enjoy!
Organic Flow: A practice attuning to the kidneys as a keystone of support in movement. Begins with supported verticality against a wall and moves into a flow that weaves twists and lunges and closes with a somatic meditation. A supportive, nourishing and grounding little flow.
Shiva shambo - new part added: Shiva Shambho - a classic! Naming shiva as all that is, and using the mantra as the sonic form of the deity, so that we might use the practice of chanting the name to recognise that shiva is also our essential nature. Shambho - the auspicious one. The first part is a classic meldoy, part two I added on, enjoy finding your own voice with it! :)
Muscle Power! : An exploration of musculature! How do muscles express themselves as ‘individual’ muscles as well as integrate through a broader network of a whole ‘musle body’? What does this mean for accessing power, vitality, strength AND our ability to release and rest? This practice helps us find whole body integration as we move, and builds from flowy floor sequences into a strong, invigorating practice, integrating philosophical contemplation and closing with a rest and one of my fave chants.
Radha ramana haribol: I love this one so much. It's a call to Radha, the embodiment of love and devotion and consort to Krishna - the embodiment of all that is, the enchanter of the senses. Maha mantra woven within also. A joyous all rounder! Haribol = hari (god) bol (sing) ie: I love to sing the names of god! Ramana refers to ‘the one who delights’ Radha - in other words - Krishna!
Decelerate - earth body meditation: a somatic meditation waking up awareness in the bones of the body. An invitation to decelerate, find quiet, find slowness and re-source. Begins with some tapping to wake up the sensory landscape before settling into stillness.
Circular breath: a nurturing practice to offer some containment and support, to help you find your breath and settle there for a little while. You will need a blanket or a towel.
Spring loading: A fun and varied practice designed to hep us cultivate the spring in our step! Begins with a settling mini meditation and sneaks into an increasingly dynamic flow weaving balancing, strength, bounce and sensitivity into the mix. A good one to energise and shake. it. out!
